📘 Validate My Call — Client & Vendor Guide

Validate My Call (validate.codes) is a simple and secure way to verify your identity during phone-based support calls with your IT provider or MSP. You’ll set up a 6-digit rotating security code using an authenticator app, and you provide this code to the technician anytime you request sensitive support.

👤 Step 1 — Create Your Account

To get started:

  • Visit the signup link your MSP provided.
  • Enter your contact information:
    • Name
    • Company Name
    • Company ID (optional)
    • Email Address
    • Phone Number
  • Submit and continue to MFA setup.

🔑 Step 2 — Logging In

Log in using your email/username and password. *Note: Validate My Call MFA is for verifying your identity on calls — it does not replace your WordPress login MFA unless your MSP configures that separately.*

📲 Step 3 — Set Up Your Authenticator App

After saving your contact details:

  • A QR code appears for setup.
  • Open Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy.
  • Tap “Add Account” → “Scan QR Code”.
  • You’ll see a new entry labeled Validate My Call.
  • Enter the 6-digit code shown in your app to confirm setup.

📞 Step 4 — Using Your Code on Support Calls

Whenever you request sensitive support:

  • The technician will ask for your Validate My Call code.
  • Open your authenticator app.
  • Read the current 6-digit code (changes every 30 seconds).
  • Once the code passes validation, support can proceed.

♻️ Step 5 — Update or Reset Your MFA

If you get a new phone, reset your device, or lose access, your MSP can reset your MFA. This requires going through the setup steps again.
